The official event hotel is the Home2 Suites by Hilton Walpole Foxboro, located in Walpole, MA. We have requested a block of rooms for the nights of June 8-14 (departing on the morning of the 15th). The group rate for a room with two queen beds is $149/night for the nights of June 8-11 and June 14, and $174/night for June 12-13. A few rooms with one king bed are also available for $144/night.

According to the group manager, “We are an all-suite hotel with movable furniture, adjustable storage options, and a rolling work desk. The in-suite kitchen provides a sink, full-size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, cookware, and plenty of dishes and utensils. There’s free breakfast each morning with options like artisan-style sandwiches, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and oatmeal with toppings. We also have a heated indoor pool, gym, guest laundry, and a fire pit. Our meeting space is able to accomodate up to 65 guests, and we also provide free Wi-fi.”

My personal experience with Home2 Suites is generally good. The rooms do not have cooktops in the kitchens, but the front desk usually has some induction burners available. The shower is usually equipped with a bath gel dispenser instead of soap, and housekeeping is more limited. The rooms have a sofa bed (not as comfortable as the beds) and more room to spread out. Breakfast is mostly microwavable entrees, refrigerator items, and a toaster, but you may be leaving in the morning before breakfast is served anyways.

You can also call the hotel directly (+1-508-668-8500) and ask for the ARDF CHAMPIONSHIP group rate.

We tried to balance price versus convenience while still having a hotel with a conference room – that is why it is so far out of Boston. It is relatively convenient to the practice days and classic events, but maybe not so convenient to the fox-oring and sprint events. (Obviously it is convenient to official meetings, and the banquet dinner will also be in the area.) You are welcome to stay elsewhere if it meets your needs better.
